Meet Dr. Wright

Dr. Monica K. Wright is a clinical psychologist licensed in the states of Georgia and South Carolina. She serves on the Discovery Therapies, Inc's board of directors, was the SC Psychological Association's 2024 president, and has worked for the Veteran’s Affairs Regional Office, the Savannah River Site nuclear facility, the Department of Disabilities and Special Needs, and the Department of Juvenile Justice.  She was recently elected to serve as South Carolina’s representative to the American Psychological Association (APA) Council of Representatives. In this role, Dr. Wright joins the APA’s primary legislative body, helping to shape national policy, ethical standards, and the future direction of the field of psychology. As a Council member, she advocates for the interests of psychologists across South Carolina while contributing to key decisions that impact psychological research, practice, and education nationwide.

Dr. Wright performs a variety of psychological assessments, to include independent medical evaluations, fitness for duty evaluations, competency evaluations, public safety employment screenings, pre-surgical screenings, and individual therapy.
